orchestra takes on the lakeland challenge!
10.5 miles of arm ache, 26 miles of saddle rash, 8 miles of blisters...
...and that's all in just 12 HOURS!
Imagine the scene: it's the crack of dawn, 18th of May, Lake Windermere. There's late snow clinging to the mountains, and the water is chillier than a freshly shaken cocktail.
There's a great shout, and a bunch of lunatics hurtle towards the deep, kayaks in hand. They paddle like madmen for 10 miles, throw off their lifejackets, don helmets and cycle 26 miles over some of the most rugged terrain you can imagine, and finish the whole day off with a light jog up Scafell Pike. Before tea.
And, you guessed it, it's all for chaaaarideee: Wooden Spoon, dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children. See details of last year's event here.
And this is where you come in. Orchestra in the majestic forms of Chris Lowe, Gary Harman and Amy Bryson are entering as Team Orchestra, and they need your help. It's easy to sponsor them and all you have to do is click below and pledge your amount.
